The Problem
Healthcare providers were struggling with their daily patient consultations due to the lack of an organized system. They had to manually retrieve patient files, review medical history, and assess compliance levels. This time-consuming and inefficient process limited the number of patients they could consult each day.
Who It Affected
Healthcare providers
Why It Mattered
The inefficiency in managing patient files impacted both the quality of care and the number of daily consultations. Providers, frustrated with the disorganized workflow, were consulting fewer patients. This led to decreased efficiency, missed care opportunities, and a decline in patient satisfaction.
The Solution
We designed the Daily Patient Brief Dashboard to streamline and enhance the consultation process. This centralized platform provided healthcare providers with a comprehensive view of their daily patient schedule, medical history, and compliance status all in one place.
Key Features
My Design Process
Research & Insights
I gathered insights from stakeholders to understand the daily challenges faced by healthcare providers. We also analyzed internal patient consultation data, revealing a noticeable decline in consultation rates due to workflow inefficiencies.
Ideation & Wireframing
Collaborating with the data scientist, I used the gathered data to draft a user flow that addressed all provider pain points. I then created low-fidelity wireframes to visualize how the dashboard would display data intuitively, ensuring easy navigation and quick information retrieval.
Design & Prototyping
After refining the wireframes, I developed high-fidelity UI designs and prototypes.
I applied brand colors for consistency with the clinic’s digital products.
I used soft pastel shades of blue to make the UI visually appealing and easy on the eyes considering that most providers were aged 35-60.
I prioritized accessibility and readability, ensuring that all data was easy to interpret at a glance.
Usability Testing & Iterations
There were no iterations, as we effectively addressed all pain points during the design phase. The final design met the stakeholders' expectations without requiring revisions.
